As a martial artist over the past decade, I have searched in vain for jewelry and accessories that suitably honor the years of intense effort and discipline that I have invested in achieving my black belt. Instead, I have been consistently disappointed by the low quality and lack of inspiration reflected in the merchandise offered in the marketplace for the student of martial arts. To my mind, any piece of jewelry or any accessory awarded to recognize the martial artist along the journey from white belt to black belt should be as worthy and superior as the talent and training required to achieve each step along that journey.
